Almighty God, as we begin this holy season of Lent, we gather as your children, ready to open our hearts to you. Today, as we receive ashes on our foreheads, we remember that you call us to turn back to you with love, kindness, and trust.

We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.
